"And how tight-fisted was Scrooge !
Whether it was cold outside or freezing, It didn't concern Scrooge. No kind of cold gave him warmth and no chill waded through. Nobody stopped him in the street with a cheerful cry of: "Dear Scrooge, how are you?" No impoverished person would've dared to reach out a hand for charity, no adolescent could decide whether to ask him the time or not and never in his life has anyone asked him for directions".
